Private Mountain Estate

This project emphasizes a site-sensitive design approach that carefully responds to existing ecological conditions while enhancing the natural landscape. The design prioritizes the protection and preservation of on-site ecosystems, improves water quality, and introduces visual and auditory interest through thoughtful interventions, such as subtle, low-flowing waterfalls. For plantings, a low-water-use strategy is prioritized, utilizing native species that are well-adapted to the local climate and require minimal irrigation, thereby reducing demand on well water. The project also involved close coordination with local and federal agencies to secure necessary permits, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. We helped guide contractor selection and remained actively involved during on-site construction, working collaboratively with the owner and contractor as an integrated team. Ongoing involvement and guidance are integral to the project, supporting cohesive site planning and future estate improvements with a sustainable, long-term vision.
